Stay Thirsty Pays $300, Wins Travers Stakes

Stay Thirsty won the $1 million 2011 Travers Stakes.  He was the co-favorite along side Coil, paying $300 for every $100 bet.

Stay Thirsty beat second place finisher and big underdog Rattlesnake Bridge by 1½ lengths. 

Winning time for the 1¼ miles was 2:03.03.  Long shot J W Blue was third.

The Jim Dandy winner and Belmont Stakes runner up, Stay Thirsty was ridden by Javier Castellano.  He is owned Mike Repole and trained by Todd Pletcher.
