San Diego Chargers fans may experience the first NFL blackout of 2011 should the team not sell enough tickets to its preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks.

A notice was sent out to fans that 7,000 tickets must be sold by 5:00 p.m. PT Monday, 72 hours prior to the preseason game.

The Chargers have begun offering a two-game package — a ticket to the preseason game against the Seahawks and a ticket to the November 6 regular-season game against the Packers – as an enticement.  A variety of club seats are also available.

The game will be played Thursday and televised nationally on ESPN.
