Gambling911.com believes that the Cardinals -133 in San Diego is an enticing play.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Cardinal RH Adam Wainwright (0-2, 8.27 ERA) vs. Padres RH Andrew Cashner (0-1, 5.40)

Wainwright is 6-2 when starting against San Diego with an ERA of 1.52 and a WHIP of 0.978 while Cashner is 1-0 when starting against St. Louis with an ERA of 0.75 and a WHIP of 1.000, making for a great UNDER potential.

In six of the last nine games San Diego has scored 3 or fewer runs overall.

Wainwright is coming off a bad loss to the Reds while Cashner gave up a single run on four hits in six innings versus Arizona but the result was a no-decision.

St. Louis is the -133 favorite here with San Diego a +123 underdog.

The Padres are 5-11 in Cashner’s last 16 home starts.

The Cardinals are 6-2 in Wainwright’s last 8 road starts and 23-5 in his last 28 starts with 5 days of rest.

There is one downside to overcome here in that St. Louis is just 4-9 in the last 13 meetings in San Diego.
