The 25-year-old Newcomb has emerged as a bona fide All-Star candidate in his first full major-league season, entering Thursday third in the NL in wins and hits per nine innings (6.5), and seventh in ERA.

The books appear to believe Cobb will have a solid start here based on the line movement.
