Mike "Timex" McDonald Wins 2nd Epic Poker League Event

Mike “Timex” McDonald came out of retirement to win the 2^nd Epic Poker League main event. 

At 20-years-old, McDonald announced his decision to stop playing, this despite winning over $1 million at a European Poker Tour event and boasting of a massive million dollars plus bankroll online.

"I don't hate poker by any means, and I do plan on sticking with it to some degree,” he wrote on his blog.

Evidently he had a change of heart.

Now at the ripe old age of 22, McDonald celebrated his birthday win the big Epic Poker League win, the first big event victory on US soil.  His birthday present: a sweet $782,410.

"I couldn't have a better birthday gift than this," said McDonald. "It was a tough day, against tough players at the table. The Epic Poker League is extremely competitive and it's rare I'm at a table where I feel that many of the players are better than myself."

McDonald also locks in a seat at the $1 million freeroll championship in February.
