Gambling911.com has your Major League Baseball betting picks for May 1.

Cardinals -138 St. Louis is 7-3 vs. Pittsburgh and 12-3 overall while the Pirates are just 3-14 in the last 17 meetings in St. Louis.  The home team has also won 8 of the last 10 in this series.

Pirates RH A.J. Burnett (0-1, 1.80 ERA) but has given up a combined five home runs in 29 at-bats to Cardinals newcomers Jason Heyward and Mark Reynolds, making both some excellent plays for daily fantasy aficionados.

Cardinals RH Lance Lynn (1-2, 3.63) had permitted one earned run in each of his first three starts and recorded 26 strikeouts against seven walks this season.  His last outing was a disaster so we would anticipate Lynn getting back to form here.   He is 5-3 with a 4.71 ERA in 15 appearances (13 starts) against Pittsburgh.

Mariners vs. Astros OVER 8.5 The OVER is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings in Houston. Five of the last six games in this series have gone OVER 8.5.

White Sox vs. Twins OVER 8 – Eight of the last ten games in this series have gone OVER 7.5. The OVER is 9-2 in the last 11 games of this series.  The OVER is 21-6-1 in the Twins last 28 home games.

White Sox LH Jose Quintana (1-1, 6.55 ERA) has made 10 career starts against the Twins, logging a 3-2 record and 4.40 ERA.

Joe Mauer, who is 15-for-37 with nine RBIs over the past nine games, is 9-for-21 with a pair of homers against Quintana.

Twins RF Avisail Garcia is 9-for-25 during a six-game hitting streak.

Twins RH starting pitcher Kyle Gibson (1-2, 4.84) has struggled against White Sox shortstop Alexei Ramirez, who is 3-for-6 with a homer against him.
