MLB Betting Lines – Free Pick: Tigers vs. Chiefs

We lost our earlier game and come into this one on a three-game pick slide, so tread carefully here.

Nevertheless, Gambling911.com believes the Tigers/Chiefs UNDER 8 to be a good bet for Thursday night.  

Royals RH Jeremy Guthrie (5-7, 4.02) is coming off a loss at Cleveland on Saturday.  Before this poor showing, Guthrie managed to allow two or fewer earned runs in seven of eight starts.   He only surrendered a single run the last time facing Detroit and is 8-5 with a 3.92 ERA in 19 career games (16 starts) against the Tigers.

The Tigers LH Drew Smyly (4-8, 3.89 ERA) has lost his last two starts but is 3-1 with a 2.16 ERA in 12 career appearances (four starts) versus Kansas City.

The last two games in this series have resulted in three total runs apiece with one of those a Smyly vs. Guthrie affair.  The previous game Guthrie pitched against KC resulted in just three runs scored by Detroit.

The UNDER is 5-1 in Guthrie's last 6 starts as a home favorite of -110 to -150.
