The Mets Dillon Gee is 2-4 when starting against Philadelphia with an ERA of 6.71 and a WHIP of 1.556 with the OVER occurring 8 of 11 times in these starts while the Phillies Cole Hamels is is 8-14 when starting against NY METS with an ERA of 4.19 and a WHIP of 1.457.  The OVER is 8-3 in this series this year.

Milwaukee's Michael Fiers is 1-0 when starting against the Dodgers with an ERA of 1.29 and a WHIP of 0.714 compared to LA's Zach Greinke who is 0-1 when starting against MILWAUKEE with an ERA of 11.25 and a WHIP of 3.000.

Detroit's Max Scherzer is 4-0 when starting against Toronto with an ERA of 1.79 and a WHIP of 1.141.

The Cubs Edwin Jackson is 3-1 when starting against Tampa Bay with an ERA of 2.25 and a WHIP of 1.063.  The UNDER is 4-0 in this starts.

Here we have one of those terrific situations where two hot pitchers are each coming off a bad outing.

Tigers RH Max Scherzer (13-4, 3.24 ERA) lost his last start against the Yankees by giving up only two runs.  This snapped a five-game win streak and an eight-game streak without a loss.

He has permitted two runs or fewer in seven of his last eight turns. Scherzer has been dominant in six all-time starts versus Toronto as well, going 4-0 with a 1.79 ERA.

The Blue Jays RH Marcus Stroman (7-3, 3.49) allowed five runs in his last start, however, he had only permitted a single run in 21 innings over his previous three starts and is 5-1 with a 2.82 ERA in 10 all-time home appearances.  This will be his first time facing Detroit.
