"No Caitlin Clark on top of a Green Dildo draught. Ratings gonna tank". Scroll down for all the top gambling news as well as trending stories here at Gambling911.com

That's the message relayed by our friends Dave Mason of BetOnline.
What he didn't mention: Betting on WNBA games will also likely take a bit of a hit.
As far as the dildo reference goes, you might recall a few weeks back there were a series of games in which dildos were being thrown onto the court. Some of the perpetrators have since been arrested and - dare we say it - banned from attending WNBA games for a period of time.
We'd be remiss in not mentioning that BetOnline did take bets on "Dildogate" for much of that period. The resulting action was hardly anticlimatic as tens of thousands of dollars reportedly rolled in.
Clark will miss the rest of the Indiana Fever’s season because of a right groin injury.
“I had hoped to share a better update, but I will not be returning to play this season,” Clark said in a statement. “I spent hours in the gym every day with the singular goal of getting back out there, disappointed isn’t a big enough word to describe how I am feeling. I want to thank everyone who had my back through all the uncertainty.
“This has been incredibly frustrating, but even in the bad, there is good. The way the fans continued to show up for me, and for the Fever, brought me so much joy and important perspective. I am so proud of how this team has only gotten stronger through adversity this year. Now it’s time to close out the season and claim our spot in the playoffs.”
Clark was injured late in a July 15 game against the Connecticut Sun, and later sustained a bone bruise. The former Iowa star averaged 16.5 points, 8.8 assists and 5.0 rebounds in 13 games in her second season in the WNBA.

- 'SEO Fraud-as-a-Service' Scheme Hijacks Windows Servers to Promote Gambling Websites - A previously unknown and possibly China-based hacker group has compromised at least 65 Windows servers worldwide in a fraudulent search engine optimization (SEO) scheme likely aimed at promoting gambling websites, researchers suggested. Active since August 2024, the group (referred to as GhostRedirector) has primarily targeted servers in Brazil, Peru and Thailand, each of which are seeing explosive growth in the online gambling sector. Vietnam and the United States have also been targeted. Its victims came from a wide range of industries, including insurance, healthcare, retail, transportation, technology and education. Attackers deployed two previously undocumented backdoors, named Rungan and Gamshen. Rungan allows remote command execution, while Gamshen is designed to manipulate Google search rankings by covertly promoting gambling websites, particularly those targeting Portuguese speakers. - Colombia: Coljuegos Seizes 569 Illegal Gambling Devices - Coljuegos, the Colombian regulator, has carried out operations in the cities of Montería and Tuluá that resulted in the confiscation of 569 illegal gambling devices. According to the regulator, these operations prevented annual losses of approximately COP 311m ($77,750) for the subsidized healthcare system. Marco Emilio Hincapié, president of Coljuegos, said: “Every cent wagered without Coljuegos authorization means fewer resources for the subsidized health system. In this administration, there are no off-limits territories in the fight against illegal gambling.”
- 28 Arrested as Part of Florida Gambling Probe - Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd held a news conference Thursday to discuss the arrests of almost 30 people in an undercover investigation of illegal gambling houses. “Operation Bad Odds” began with a tip about gambling machines at A-1 Discount Beverage and Discount & Deli on Pilaklakaha Avenue in Auburndale, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. Undercover detectives who soon visited the stores reported finding the machines in the back rooms, the release states. They were also able to place bets. Detectives placed bets and won money - the winnings were given to them by the store clerks, and the money was handed over concealed in bankers’ bags. Twelve stores were identified as part of the extensive probe. Those arrested (all of whom have been identified) will face charges of keeping a gambling house, possessing a slot machine, and disposing of money by lottery, the sheriff’s office said, adding five of the suspects were in the U.S. illegally. - YouTube Continues Targeting Poker Content Creators as Longtime Account Banned - Professional poker player Fernando “JNandez” Habegger has seen his long-running YouTube channel taken down after receiving a third strike from the platform. The takedown comes despite the pot-limit Omaha expert avoiding uploading new content for more than two months to protect the channel. Habegger, the Head Coach and Founder of PLO Mastermind, has been creating poker content for over a decade. He's known for his PLO coaching videos on YouTube, and has built a sizable following at roughly 63,000 subscribers before the social video platform's enforcement wiped the channel. CNE Casino Fined $199K for Failing to Comply With Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing Risk Assessment Rules - CNE Casino has filed an appeal to have a court review the penalty: the casino's director said after Canada's financial intelligence agency fined the establishment $199,000 for failure to comply with money laundering and terrorist financing risk assessment and documentation rules. The penalties were imposed after the CNE Casino indicated staff would report any high-risk transactions to an appointed compliance officer, the agency said. "This process does not meet the legislative requirement" to have a documented, risk-based assessment to mitigate potential money laundering or terrorist financing crimes, said FINTRAC in its public notice. The agency said CNE Casino also failed to provide documentation of an annual review of its compliance program.

Silencing the Sidelines: Can Policies Protect Athletes from Harassment Without Suppressing Free Expression? - With the new football season just around the corner, sports fans are donning their jerseys, checking the stats, and dialing in to watch their favorite athletes take the field. While the beginning of a new season is a time filled with excitement and anticipation, for many athletes – both professional and collegiate – it will also be the beginning of a season of harassment. Taunts, demands for money, and even death threats: college and professional athletes across all categories of sports are increasingly facing harassment from the public. By way of example, professional golfer Max Homa has discussed the barrage of Venmo requests and direct messages he’s received from unhappy (and some very angry) sports bettors, blaming him for their losses. One Venmo request for $1,900 included the caption, “Bc you can’t putt under pressure.” (read more from Ifrah Law here)

Sam's Town Gaming Hall in Tunica Closing in November - Sam's Town Gaming Hall in Tunica announced it will be ceasing operations effective November 9 at 10 pm. The casino has operated since 1994. Sam’s Town Vice President of Corporate Communications, David Strow, said the following in a statement: “This was not an easy decision for our Company. However, demand throughout the northwest Mississippi market has declined significantly over the past 20 years, with several of Tunica’s original casinos closing since 2014. Our decision to close Sam’s Town is a result of these market conditions and follows our best efforts to adjust the business to address lower demand.
