With only 13 women having won World Series of Poker bracelets in open events, Maria Ho was looking to become number 14 and the first female to win a no-limit hold’em event in Las Vegas.

She came close but no cigar.

Ho managed a second place finish to Allen Bari on Sunday in the $5000 buy-in NLHE.
