Mathieu Montcourt Died of Natural Causes: Banned for Betting

The French tennis player, Mathieu Montcourt, died of natural causes according to authorities Wednesday. 

"First indications lead us to conclude this was a natural death. But one must await the result of toxicological analyses, which should be forthcoming next week, in order to be completely certain," a police source told AFP following the autopsy at the Paris Medico-Legal Institute (IML).

Montcourt was only 24.  He had previously been banned in eight games following an investigation where allegations arose he had bet on tennis outcomes over the Internet.
